The law requires nurseries to employ a minimum of half the staff with a level 2 diploma in childcare. All the staff at the Hornsey Day nursery either hold a level 3 diploma in childcare or are working towards obtaining one.
Some practioners also hold a level 6 degree in childcare.
Staff members undergo regular training in childcare with a focus on children aged under five. The training includes paediatric first aid, safeguarding and child protection and health and safety among others.
The nursery strongly believes that it is its team of practitioners that enables it to deliver the quality of welfare and development expected from an exceptional provision.
